What is an abaya?
A long, flowing outer garment worn over clothing for modesty — for everyday, prayer, and occasions like Eid, nikahs and weddings.
Open or closed abaya — which should I choose?
A closed abaya is one complete piece that goes over the head. An open abaya opens down the front like a long coat and is worn over an inner dress. Open styles layer easily; closed styles give a clean, uninterrupted line.
What size abaya should I buy?
Abayas are sized by length. Measure from the top of your shoulder to the floor in the shoes you'll wear, then pick the closest size: XS | 50, S | 52, M | 54, L | 56, XL | 58 or 2XL | 60 (inches). Between two sizes? Take the longer one.
What's included with my abaya?
Most AMIRIS abayas come with a matching scarf, and open styles include an inner. Each product page says exactly what's included.
Do you sell kids' abayas?
Yes — sized by age, from 2–3 years up to 11–12 years, with matching mother & daughter sets.
What should I wear for Eid, a nikah or a walimah?
Our Occasion and Luxury collections are made for these moments — embellished abayas and kaftans in softer, lighter shades.
How do I care for my abaya?
Hand wash cold or dry clean embellished pieces. Plain fabrics can go on a cold, gentle cycle inside out. Iron on low on the reverse, never over embellishment.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 24 hours. UK standard delivery takes 2–3 working days and is free over £75. Next day delivery is available at checkout.
